Basic Restucco and Repair
Essentially, a "basic restucco" will only cover up problems instead of fixing them. They're done with regular "site-mixed" basecoats (as opposed to factory-made basecoats like Wallease base), minimal reinforcing, little or no acrylic additive in the stucco mix, and no wet curing for strength and bonding, which is critical for a good job. If a warranty for this kind of restucco is written, it will be for a short period of time (usually 2 years) with no warranty against cracks.
"Basic restuccos" are the stock-in-trade of unlicensed and uninsured contractors, and may be subcontracted from a licensed contractor, which is a common practice in Albuquerque.
